About Me

  • I have more than 20 years of experience and training in providing counselling. I have worked with adults, teens, children, families and couples in a variety of settings, including hospitals, community clinics, and non-profit agencies.

  • My approach to therapy is Holistic, meaning that we use techniques from a variety of approaches in order to find the best combination for your specific personality and needs. These therapy techniques include Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Mindfulness-based therapies.

  • I believe a strong, collaborative relationship between the therapist and the client is the most important element that leads to change. Therefore, I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where you feel safe to work through the issues that you are struggling with. It is very important to me that you have agency over your therapy process; as such, we will move at a pace that feels right for you, and I will never make you talk about or do anything that you are not comfortable with or ready for.

  • On a personal level, I enjoy copious amounts of coffee, reading, cycling, being creative, and spending time with family and friends.

“In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety”. – Abraham Maslow
