I am a Registered Psychologist in the province of Alberta and completed my Masters degree in the area of Counselling Psychology at the University of Alberta, one of the few CPA accredited Counselling Psychology Programs in Canada. I am a Registered Member of the College of Alberta Psychologists, the Canadian Psychological Association, and the Alberta Play Therapy Association.
- I have more than 10 years of experience and training in providing counselling. I have worked with adults, teens, children, families and couples in a variety of settings, including hospitals, community clinics, and non-profit agencies.
- I use a holistic approach to therapy – I often use techniques from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Mindfulness-based therapies, and will tailor my approach to match your specific personality and needs. Most importantly, I believe a strong relationship between the therapist and the client is the most important element that leads to change. Therefore, I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where you feel safe to work through the issues that you are struggling with.
- On a personal level, I really enjoy having a good laugh, being creative, and spending time with the people I love.
